Anubhuti Shree Foundationis founded by Mrs. Hercharan Kour (Dimple), a graduate in Economics, Master in Social Science and an alumnus of Women’s College Jamshedpur. It was 2013, when she found herself in deep trouble due to menstruation disorder and undergone Radical hysterectomy (uterus removal) surgery and experienced the complications. Post-surgery, Mrs. Kour had some horrifying days when apart from her physical uncomfortness, she had to manage with approx. 20 pads a day for continuous 10 to 12 days of recovery from the surgery. On a random discussion with some women in the locality, Mrs. Kour had a thought of how the women in a marginalised society would manage to get the sanitary pads in such quantity during such hour of need and necessity. Moreover, on further discussions, it was apparent that the women living in the marginalised society does not even use these pads during their menstrual periods thus compromising with their health on account of hygiene. The idea to provide free sanitary pads to marginalized women of our Society derives from her own experience.

On 24th November 2016, the foundation got registered with Registrar, Firms & Societies, Raipur CG having registration no. 3606.
